Pursuant to the principles of equity and intergenerational justice enshrined in international law, the undersigned coalition of civil society organizations hereby lodges a formal petition before the International Court of Justice, seeking adjudication on the systemic environmental injustices perpetrated against vulnerable indigenous populations. Despite binding multilateral commitments under the Paris Agreement and the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, transnational corporate entities have persistently externalized ecological liabilities, thereby contaminating ancestral watersheds and irreversibly disrupting traditional livelihoods without obtaining prior, free, and informed consent. Consequently, we respectfully urge the Tribunal to issue provisional measures halting all extractive operations in the contested territories, and to mandate comprehensive remediation frameworks that prioritize ecological restoration alongside equitable compensation for historically marginalized communities. Should the Court affirm our submissions, the ensuing jurisprudence will not only rectify decades of cumulative ecological degradation but also establish a robust precedent that aligns developmental imperatives with the inalienable right to a healthy environment.
